Belle, rescued by Elaine Garcia, San Ramon, CA
Belly.JPG

OUR FEATURED RESCUE BULLDOG: Pictured to the left, is Belle, aka Belly, and she's forty two pounds of love.  Elaine Garcia rescued her from a busy family that could no longer care for her because of her health issues.  Belly has a spinal defect that causes her to walk stiffly and sideways, like a hermit crab.  She has problems climbing stairs, and she can't always make it outside to tinkle because of the stiffness in her legs.  Belle is a beautiful dog, and our warmest thanks to Elaine Garcia for giving Belle a new home with her other Bulldogs, Roxy and Junior.  Elaine has been working with Northern California Bulldog Rescue for years.  It's essential to keep in mind before you adopt a Bulldog that many of them develop incontinence issues as they age...that doesn't mean we stop loving them, we just keep plenty of towels and a good, sturdy mop around!
